# Create a Snyk Webhook

How to create a Snyk webhook for the New Relic integration

Create the Snyk Webhook using the [Create a webhook API](/developer-tools/snyk-api/reference/webhooks-v1.md#org-orgid-webhooks).

The API requires that you provide the Snyk Organization ID, the Snyk authentication token, and the target webhook URL.

An example request follows. You can use your favorite tool to send the request.

```http
POST https://api.snyk.io/v1/org/{SNYK-ORG-ID}/webhooks HTTP/2
Host: snyk.io
Authorization: token {SNYK-TOKEN}
Content-Type: application/json
{
    "url": "https://{TARGET-WEBHOOK-URL}",
    "secret": "my-secret-string"
}
```

The response is like this:

```
{
  "id": "{SNYK-WEBHOOK-ID}",
  "url": "https://{TARGET-WEBHOOK-URL}",
}
```

You can then use the [Ping a webhook API](/developer-tools/snyk-api/reference/webhooks-v1.md#org-orgid-webhooks-webhookid-ping) to pro-actively trigger the Snyk Webhook in order to test your integration:

```http
POST https://api.snyk.io/v1/org/{SNYK-ORG-ID}/webhooks/{SNYK-WEBHOOK-ID}/ping HTTP/2
Host: snyk.io
Authorization: token {SNYK-TOKEN}
Content-Type: application/json
```

When the Azure Function and Snyk Webhook are created you can use the [New Relic Curated UI and Snyk Custom Dashboard](/developer-tools/snyk-api/using-specific-snyk-apis/webhooks-apis/guides-to-webhooks/how-to-use-snyk-webhooks-to-integrate-new-relic-with-snyk/new-relic-curated-ui-and-snyk-custom-dashboard.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.snyk.io/developer-tools/snyk-api/using-specific-snyk-apis/webhooks-apis/guides-to-webhooks/how-to-use-snyk-webhooks-to-integrate-new-relic-with-snyk/create-a-snyk-webhook.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
